Our
Story
The Story of Closing Circles Inc.
Closing Circles Inc. officially became a nonprofit in 2020, but the real story—the real heartbeat—began long before then. It started in 2017 when Anthony “Antmoe,” the younger brother God didn’t give me by blood but blessed me with in life, was incarcerated.
During his time behind those walls, Antmoe told me he wanted something different. He didn’t want to come home and fall back into old patterns—he wanted change. He wanted purpose. He wanted a future he could be proud of. Hearing that ignited something in me. In that moment, I made a promise. I told him he wouldn’t walk that journey alone.
While Antmoe sat with his CDL study manual day in and day out, I was on the outside researching the trucking industry, trying to understand everything I could so that when he came home, he wouldn’t feel lost—he would feel ready. We were building a plan before either of us even realized what God was preparing.
When Antmoe was released in 2021, he hit the ground running. He enrolled in school for his CDL immediately, and he didn’t let anything or anyone stop him. Watching him focus, watching him grow, watching him believe in himself lit a fire in me. He finished his program, earned his CDL, and together we launched our trucking company—Coast to Coast Logistics.
I became his dispatcher, his COO, his support system, and honestly, his cheerleader. My job was to keep him loaded with freight, but my purpose was to keep him moving toward the life he always deserved.
Then February 2023 happened. Losing Antmoe broke me in a way I still struggle to put into words. It shook my world, my spirit, and my heart. But even in my grief, I knew his story couldn’t end there. His journey, his determination, and his impact were too powerful to stop at his passing.
Closing Circles Inc. became more than a nonprofit—it became my way of honoring him.
My way of continuing the promise we made together.
My way of keeping his legacy alive.
This organization exists because I experienced firsthand what support, guidance, and belief can do for someone trying to re-enter society after incarceration. It exists because Antmoe proved that when someone truly wants change and has the right people behind them, they can rewrite their story. And it exists because I refuse to let his light dim.
Through Closing Circles Inc., I help others close the chapters that held them back and open doors to a future full of hope, opportunity, and stability—just like Anthony did.
Every person we assist is a piece of his legacy.
Every success story is proof that his life mattered.
Every step forward we take is for him.
This is for Antmoe.
This is for every “second chance” story waiting to be written.
This is Closing Circles Inc.—a promise turned into purpose.
